Artful lighting is more than illumination, it is creating an experience that impacts visitor appreciation of a project. | Ted Mather, LC - Principal |
| After completing a BFA at the University of Illinois, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in lighting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Mr. Mather worked with many of the world's finest lighting designers on over 15 Broadway musicals and plays. Adapting the Broadway designs to touring and international companies for over 10 years led him around the country as well as to Japan, Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, London, Hong Kong and France.
He worked with David Hersey on such ground-breaking projects as the Mirage Hotel Volcano and the Treasure Island Pirate Show in Las Vegas, and the underground dark ride "Il Corsari" in Italy. With Natasha Katz he worked on the immense "EFX!" with Michael Crawford in Las Vegas, the novel "Masquerade Show in the Sky" at the Rio Hotel, and the award winning Niketown multimedia installation in New York. Mr. Mather is a member of the International Association of Lighting Designers, United Scenic Artists Local 829 (lighting category), Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, the American Association of Museums, and the Themed Entertainment Association. He is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. |
